This new work goes back to one of YKMF’s earliest images, Lung Leg staring fearlessly out at the viewer, gun in hand, in the midst of the words “You Killed Me First!”. This time the image is in half tone and ripped at either edge, slapped across a vividly bright red background. Images of newsprint, set at a horizontal slant, peek out from the wash of red. Atop this background, YKMF has put a mist of white with bold droplets.
