I'm so into There She Is Art's assemblage piece for our upcoming show NightShift!!!!!!
A hastily packed suitcase based on Hunter S. Thompson "Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Pack",
all the details and actual vintage Las Vegas memorabilia make it so damn cool to me!...

http://cultthirtythree.bigcartel.com/product/gonzo-metal-fist-new
Acrylic, wheatpaste, digital print on canvas. In this homage to Hunter S Thompson, You Killed Me First has brought the Gonzo Metal Fist which he has used in street pieces to the canvas. This piece features a background of letters and writings by the author across the canvas. "A man who has blown all his options can't afford the luxury of changing his ways....
He
has to capitalize on whatever he has left, and he can't afford to admit
— no matter how often he's reminded of it — that every day of his life
takes him farther and farther down a blind alley"
Hunter S. Thompson

"The power of choosing good and evil is within the reach of all." Origen
Gonzo Metal Fist: $50 - 24X12
Acrylic, wheat paste, digital print. In this homage to Hunter S Thompson, You Killed Me First has brought the Gonzo Metal Fist which he has used in street pieces to the canvas. The "Gonzo fist," characterized by two thumbs and four fingers holding a peyote button, was originally used in Hunter S. Thompson's 1970 campaign for sheriff of Aspen, CO.
Virgin Mary: $40 - 8X24
There She Is takes her interest into that of Christian iconology with this Virgin Mary piece. Again, stylized in that There She Is manner, this common image has new life breathed into it with a highly textured surface and bright colors. The Sacred Heart in this piece is in an anatomical form yet painted in metallic golds and silvers.

Maybe it meant something. Maybe not....
“Maybe it meant something. Maybe not, in the long run, but no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time and the world. Whatever it meant.” Hunter S. Thompson....
